When this game was released it was the most bug ridden game that I have played in the last 20 years. This was the first game to introduce a RTS element to the navel engagements. It was so bad that I have refused to buy STW2, which I have heard is by far a much better game. Rome: TW was in my mind the best game in the series and after that MTW2 was a little bit of let down and then came Empire: TW which has to be the very worst game in this series thus far. It got so bad, that I would plan my major computer purchases to coincide with the release date of Total War title. As each subsequent title was released, I would drop everything and play it non stop for months on end.
